Install WordPress to your Online Server Manually step 1


WordPress, a popular web developing tool. Now a days many web developer choose WordPress as their web developing tool. And definitely it is easy as Joomla and take less disk space. Today I will inform about the way of installation of WordPress to Online server menially. Actually I faced the problem and that's why I am here to tell you about that. To install WordPress you need a database and 11.00MB+ disk space.


Open your cPanel of the site where you like to install WordPress and select the MySQL Databases

Create a New Database from here. Type the database name, say "database" and then click to "Create Database" Button.

Database will be created and the name of the database will be username_database (here username is your cPanel username ). Your Database creation is now complete.

Now download the setup file of wordpress from here. The last WordPress version is Version 3.0.1 till now. Go to the home page of cPanel. Choose File Manager and then choose "Web Root (public_html/www)" and click to GO.

File manager will open in a new tab of your browser. Choose the directory where do you like to install WordPress. Public_html or www is the root directory. We are going to install WordPress in the root directory. Well, now choose Upload and it will open in a new tab.

Browse the setup file you downloaded and upload it.

You may use any FTP tool like FileZilla to upload the setup file. Make sure the setup file you uploaded in the root directory. You saw that the setup files of WordPress is in zip format and now you need to unzip it in the online server. To unzip, select the file and choose Extract.

A new dialog box will come. Choose Extract file(s). After finishing extract a list of extract file will come, just close it. Now you will find a folder named WordPress in your root folder. Open it. Now select all the files here and choose Move Files, it is just left of Upload.

Now remove the WordPress from /public_html/wordpress, it will be just /public_html/ . Now Click to Move File(s), all will move to the root directory and the WordPress directory will be empty. Now back to root directory and delete the WordPress Folder.
